What Happened to the Man Code? feat. @IAmJayMayo

www.Twitter.com/IAmJayMayo
Wed., Aug. 26th @ 9 PM ET

Stream the show here

Listen at (347) 202-0215 or Skype

This show will mainly focus on how men from the days of old rarely exist in 2014. Back in the day, men did things simply because "that's what a man was supposed to do."

That concept worked for my father, his father and so on. It was taught to me. Sometimes you don't need a particular reason to do certain things because "that's what a man is supposed to do."

Helping a lady change a tire on her car, holding the door open for an elderly person who may be 15 seconds away from you, and things of that nature. We do some things that may not necessarily be required of us, yet we still feel compelled.

Where did those old school men get the strength to constantly give without receiving much more than a "thank you"? Some will say parenting. Some will say church. I think that it's a combination of both.

Joining me to discuss this will be one of my favorite people. Mr. Jay Mayo from the "Right to Real Love Podcast" will give his insight on what guys need to do in order to dig deep and achieve "man status."

After the show we'll talk sports as we do a little Zone Coverage on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

"Teen Shacking" in Parents' Home: Fair or Foul?

Tue., Aug. 26th @ 10 PM EDT

Stream the show here

Parents are a lot more liberal these days when it comes to raising their kids. When I was growing up parenting was a one-way conversation. Now negotiations are allowed in some homes when it comes to communicating the do's/don't's to children.

How far would you be willing to bend when it comes to your teen having their significant other have a sleep over and/or live in your home? Is teen shacking an option in your home and if some under what circumstances?

  • The teens already have a child together?
  • Your child's significant other doesn't have a place to stay/suitable home?
  •  Is it your way of keeping a close eye on them?
We'll go over some of those things and more to see what you think on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

However, we will stick with the theme of adult movies on tonight's show!

Surviving the Game

Sun., Aug. 17th @ 10 PM EDT

Stream the show here

"The Game Is to be Sold, Not Told!" I'm sure that many old schoolers are familiar with that saying.
This show is tailor-made for M&M. Although we know that it's against "the code" to give "the game" away, this is a discussion that needs to be had. There are so many strategies that women and men use to gain leverage in relationships. Now, of course no success relationship will have someone trying to gain leverage, but that's a topic for another show.

"The Game" is a term use to insinuate that the person you're pursuing for a relationship is merely a play thing. A toy. Someone you're simply looking to get something out of for your own personal gain. That can be money, sex, or maybe even long-term companionship.

Tonight, we'll get into some of those secrets that both men and women have to help educate the listeners. People of my generation (70's babies) have done a poor job of passing down trade secrets to the younger generations. I want to help fix that by educating some people or like what some folks call "putting you up on some game." We'll talk about wingmen, "always be closing," and other topics.

Are You An Overprotective Parent?

Tue., Aug. 12th @ 10 PM EDT

Stream the show here

Sometimes parents can take things a bit too far. They do what they can to protect their little ones, but wind up making things much, much worse. Kids have it hard in 2014 and although it takes a delicate approach to raising them, balance is the key. You have to use the right amount of subtleness and the right amount of craziness to make sure your kid gets through life.

  • What are some of the signs that you're an overprotective parent?
  • Can the "crazy dad" help/hurt his daughter's social life?
  • What's the best way to develop a child's independence?
Also on the show, what's the difference between territorial and insecure when it comes to a relationship?

Reality Moms: Talk 2 @TheMamaJoyce

Mama Joyce of the Real Housewives of Atlanta
Sun., Aug. 10th @ 10 PM EDT

Stream the show here

This show should be off the chain as I am joined by one of the realty stars of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Mama Joyce (Jones)! She's the mother of former Xscape singer/songwriter, Kandi Burruss and she has been a huge part of the RHOA show.

But is Mama Joyce simply misunderstood? We all know of people who have protective moms. Some of us even had moms who seemed to put their noses where others thought it didn't belong. Is she just a typical mom who wants what's best for her daughter? I will dive into the following questions with her:

  • Just what is it about Todd Tucker (Kandi's fiancee') that truly bothers her?
  • Is it more difficult to maintain a relationship with her daughter with millions of people watching?
  • At what point should a parent step back and let their children make a mistake?

This interview and more as Mama Joyce kicks down the doors of the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

Managing Life's Stresses

Tue., July 29th @ 9 PM EDT

Stream the show here

A lot of us pride ourselves on being responsible people. We also want things out of life that we see other people enjoy. A lot of us want a family, a nice job, a beautiful home, perfect spouse, the list goes on.

However, none of those things come easily for everyone. Even if you're lucky enough to achieve all of that it comes with a price: a lot of hard work and time. It can even be overwhelming to a lot of people. Especially when you have loved ones depending on you.

  • How do you manage stress?
  • What can help you gain a perspective on what's really important?
  • How do you reset day-after-day-after-day and face the world again?
It's a lot easier said than done, but my Show Legends and I will do what we can to give you some ideas on what to do. When life knocks you down, you have to look up, get up, and never give up. Things can always be worse. Always! So, you have to play the hand that you're dealt. Control the things that you can control and not stress over the things that you can't. The one thing that you do not want to do is allow your attitude to let more bad luck come your way by affecting your decision-making.

Should Our #Troops Be Home Fighting #Crime?

Mon., Aug 4th @ 10 PM EDT

Stream the show here

There is a huge crime wave going across the country. Chicago, Jackson, Oakland and the entire state of Florida to name a few. Burglaries, assaults, murders galore. The police force isn't large enough to stop what's going on and the government appears to be too corrupt to seriously do anything about the problem either. Aren't the troops the answer? Why should they walk the neighborhood streets of the Middle East when they could be doing that here in the states? One of the biggest deterrents of crime is police visibility. With a shortage of police across most of the country wouldn't it work out better if the police worked in conjunction with the military?

We'll discuss the pros and cons of the idea. Also on the show, we'll have to figure out who will be a part of our future military because reports show that 71% of kids 17 - 24 years old wouldn't be eligible for the military. They either lack a high school diploma, they're convicted felons, hooked on ADHD drugs, and more. Who will protect our country in the future if the kids these days are too unqualified?
