Love in Your Face! #RejectingLove

Crystal used the term on a recent show and gave me the idea for this relationship topic: how can you ignore 'love in your face'?

What do you do when you have "love in your face" and you don't want it? It can be for one of many reasons you choose to ignore love when it's knocking at your door:

  • You're enjoying the single life.
  • You're focused on your career or school.
  • You don't like the person who likes you.

The list goes on. I'll run some scenarios by my Show Legends to get their opinion on why some people ignore what could potentially be a good thing. These things and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show! "No experts. Just opinions."

On this episode, I welcome back the author and dynamic motivational speaker, Miss Sweta Patel! Back in late April of 2013, she joined me to talk about her "Watch Out Books" and how she overcame so much in her life to be the woman she is today.

Sweta uses her life's experience to help guide young, college-aged ladies all over the country. She teaches them how to respect themselves and protect their self-esteem. I will catch up with her about her speaking tour and what else she's discussing with these young ladies.  We'll discuss the trouble that can surround the college party life.

I'll also see if she doesn't mind taking a few calls from my listeners and Show Legends. Not only can they get more insight on what she wants to accomplish as an inspirational role model, but they can also get answers to their questions.

After the interview the Show Legends and I will talk about an unusual story of a woman named Yasmin Eleby who had a wedding ceremony to marry herself.  Go figure.

Don't Date If You're Broke (Ladies, too)!

Tuesday, Jan. 20th @ 10 PM EDT

Some guys without a dime to their names approach women giving them their best game. Because things are different in 2015, sometimes it works, However, for those with standards, it does not. I'm not saying you have to buy a woman's affection. I am saying that if a couple wants to be able to enjoy themselves then the more disposable income they have the more opportunities. The last thing most women want is to have to pay every time they go somewhere or not be able to go because he's broke. However...

I'm not just speaking to the guys. Don't date if you're broke goes for women, too! Just because men traditionally take the lead doesn't mean that you can sit around and not contribute. Sure, it takes money to look nice for your dates, but men don't want to feel like they have to buy your time. That's exactly what will happen if you don't reciprocate now and then. And I'm not talking about sex because if you think that sex is acceptable reciprocation for someone buying you a meal then you're a hooker. Yeah, I said it. So, don't complain if he eventually treats you like one.

Can You Woo, Woo, Woo (Your Mate)?

It's exactly one month before Valentine's Day and I figured that I would do all of you a huge favor: I'm going to teach you how to get in good with your mate. Now, I know what you're thinking: "Q, what makes you the authority on getting in good with someone?"

I'm glad that you asked! I am the ultimate nice guy. That's how.

Now, I know that nice guys finish last, but that no longer applies to me. What I've learned over the years is that being nice without being last is about timing. When you provide someone with a solution to a "need" they didn't even know they had then you're practicing "woo." Not a "want," but a "need." People "need" things to live comfortably (ex. food, water, shelter, etc.). I'll share with you things that you can do to help fulfill that need.

After this show, you'll know how to keep your mate thinking about you throughout the day when you're not around. All this and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show. "No experts. Just opinions."

Wait. What? T2Q is discussing buying cars? You're doggone right! This show hits on everything! Tonight we will solicit the non-expert advice from the Show Legends to gain insight on the best practices for car shopping. Cars are so expensive these days, so you want to make sure that you have what's right for you. Too many people go for what looks good instead of what will keep them satisfied for the six years it will take to pay it off. I want my listeners to focus on what's important:

  • Do you really need a new car or can it be slightly used?
  • Are women vulnerable to shop for cars alone? #ScamArtists
  • Buy or lease?
  • Do you play salepeople against each other?
A lot goes into buying a car if you're looking to get the best bang for your buck. We'll break down some of the things that go into it with hopes that it helps someone out there. Cars are bought all of the time and there may be some things you've never considered before purchasing.

Why You Should Court A Woman

Wednesday, Jan. 6th @ 10 PM EDT

Yeah, that's right. There is an art to courting a woman. Oh, wait. You don't even know what courting is, do you? Well, allow me to explain. The art of courting is essentially the "mating dance" of humans. It's when the man makes his overtures to the woman to gain her acceptance. Reread that sentence and make sure you put emphasis on "gain her acceptance." The man is the chaser and the woman is to be chased. If you disagree with that then you represent the New Dating America. An America that reeks of chaos in my opinion.

Tonight, I will discuss what courtship is and why it's important to securing long term relationships. Also on the show, more things that men and women don't want in relationships and I welcome Brandy J. Flynn back for an "Ask Brandy" segment!

Let's Talk About Sex XV: The Art of Foreplay

Yet another installment of the LTOS series as I welcome back DirtyinPublic.com author, Marrie Lobel. Joining her will be a newcomer from the Little Shop of O's, Michele Schalin. Tonight, we will be discussing the art of foreplay. Foreplay is essentially warming up the engine before you decide to drive the car. To some it can be very important and sometimes required in order to have a satisfactory sexual experience.

The Show Legends and I will mix it up with my guests to determine some of the following questions:

  • Why is foreplay so important?
  •  Is it only important in relationships and not important in casual sex?
  • Is there a such thing as too much foreplay?

Those things and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

Q-on-1 with Elainee Presley #Elvis #Podcast

Call-In #: (347) 202-0215

Stream the show here

* This show does come with a disclaimer at the very beginning of the podcast. *

I was born and raised in Mississippi, the birth state of the late, great Elvis Presley. I have met countless people who have love for "The King," but I'll admit that I don't know much about his family. Lo and behold I stumble across Elainee Presley. She's a singer, songwriter, and actress. Her musical style transports you back to the days of Elvis including remakes of some of his hits.

I'll ask her about her upbringing, Graceland, and her career. Is she really the oldest daughter of Elvis?  The first interview of 2015 as the Talk 2 Q Radio Show kicks the year off with a podcast!

From the Elainee Presley website:

"My life involves writing, recording and publishing pop and rock n roll music from my home studio, and with some of the top music producers and studios of the world in honour of my father and for my supportive fans whom I adore. This career makes me very happy and although singing has always been my passion during my childhood and adult years, my wish finally came true when I made the full transition to singing on the 6th of May, 2013. I understand that because of my family name, and for choosing this career, my music will be constantly be compared with that of my fathers. And that’s fine, comparing is a natural thing to do, but know that I am building my own fan base and I hope that you will become a member of it!"
