Teach Boys To Be Men

This show is EXPLOSIVE!  The show was nice and peaceful with three women and then two guys joined the discussion.  And then thoughts from the FB Live comments were read on the air which incited more banter.  Eat your Wheaties and drink your Gatorade before you listen to this one!

Duration: 80 minutes.

Listen on your favorite podcasting platform here.

Why does it appear that men are on the brink of extinction?  I'm not talking about "guys" or "dudes". I'm talking about men. "Guys" are buying PS5's, Jordans, and stuff, but aren't paying bills, being homeowners, or taking care of their families. And it's not that I'm against any of those things.  I just have a problem with it when it's done at the expense of family and/or paying bills.

In just my dad's lifetime alone, we've gone from 21-year old young men leaving their households to start prepare a life for a future family to present-day 35-year olds still trying to "find themselves".

That kind of stuff irks me and we're going to address it and give some man training on this edition of the Talk 2 Q Radio Show.  "No experts.  Just opinions."

Men Judge Your Social Media

Listen on your favorite podcasting platform here.

"What goes on your wall is to be seen by all."

Duration: 5 minutes.

I made that quote up.  Catchy, huh?  You can use it as long as I get 20% of all sales.  The statement, albeit corny, is very true though.  What you post publicly on social media is being looked at and interpreted in ways in which you may not approve.

I'm talking to the ladies in this soap box rant.  Some of you can't figure out why you are either attracting the same type of guys in your inbox or why some of them are coming at you "any kind of way".  It's because they've formulated an opinion about you based on your social media.

We absorb daily information on one another based on what we see.  Perception is reality.  If you come off as needy then there will be a line of men in your inbox ready to take advantage of that perceived desperation.

Don't believe me?  Then peep what the homie, Jhae Pfenning, has to say about it in this episode.  I asked my podcaster in crime to jump on the soap box with me about this to give his two cents.

Jhae is the host of The Hard Parking Podcast.  It's a podcast that touches on society and culture.  Oh, yeah.  He likes cars, too.  His show can be found here: https://linktr.ee/JhaePfenning.

The T2Q Toys for THOTs Fund Raiser!

Listen on your favorite podcasting platform here.

Duration: 42 minutes.

Enjoy this classic, Show #424 from December 23, 2014!  Here are the original show notes below:

Welcome to the first-ever T2Q Toys for THOTs fund raiser!  The Toys for THOTS Drive started as a way to help men during the holidays who have to appease their side chicks without further jeopardizing the relationships that they have with their real women.  The T2Q Toys for THOTs Drive takes donations to make sure that THOTs also have a Merry Christmas and not get items that are re-gifted.

Okay, that's really not true.  This show really isn't a fund raiser for side chicks.  It takes a satirical look at the world of side pieces (women and men) and discusses how uncomfortable things can be around the holidays when someone doesn't know their place!

the Talk 2 Q Radio Show celebrates Christmas!  "No experts. Just opinions."

Q-on-1 w/Actor, Liz Priestley

I have a talk with Hollywood's newest face!

Watch our interview on YouTube here (please excuse a few technical difficulties.)

Duration: 36 minutes.

Liz Priestley is an actor, opera singer, and more!  You name the artform and she has probably already mastered it.  However, she joins the show to talk about her first major movie role.

Liz stars in the movie Concrete Cowboy.  It's a story about a mother trying to allow her son time to bond with his estranged father and partake in a culture that is very unique to him.  The movie also stars Idris Elba, Caleb McLaughlin, Lorraine Toussaint, and Method Man.

We talk about what led to her first major role in film and what it was like to be the envy of millions of women out there by playing Idris Elba's wife in the movie.  We had a few technical difficulties during the recording, but we managed to get through it and have a great time in the process!  Liz is a very fun person to speak with and has a contagious laugh!

Sit back and enjoy this Q-on-1 edition of the Talk 2 Q Radio with Liz Priestley and be sure to check out her IMDB page.

Can You Be Sexy & A Good Mom?

PLAY on YouTube.

Duration: 66 minutes.

On this show, our main topic will revolve around women who try to balance the thin line of being sexy and being a good mother.

This show aired live on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show Facebook fan page here: www.facebook.com/Talk2Q.  Like the page while you're there and stay in the loop!

Times change and society evolves. Social media has not only changed how we look at other people, but it's changed how people live their lives. Now more than ever, it's important to a lot of people that they are seen. But how does it impact motherhood?

Don't get me wrong.  No one is saying that it's impossible to do both.  It's just that a lot of moms are not willing to accept the fact that being a parent means that they have to make adjustments in their lifestyles.  Also, they don't recognize the damage they are causing to their kids' development.

  • Are your sons being teased at school because mom posts back shots on Instagram at the clubs?
  • Are daughters growing up "too fast" because they are following in the "hot girl summer" footsteps of  mom?

That's what my panel and I will discuss on this FB Live edition of the Talk 2 Q Radio Show.  "No experts. Just opinions."

Talking James Bond With Author, Steve Rubin

I get to do something that I've been wanting to do for quite some time.  I get to interview someone who loves to talk about the James Bond movie franchise!

Duration: 40 minutes.

Steven Jay Rubin is the author of The James Bond Movie Encyclopedia which was released in November 2020.  From A-to-Z, this book tells you everything that you want to know about the men who played Bond, the Bond Girls, villains, cars, weapons, and even information of people who worked behind the cameras.

This is an amazing piece of work that every Bond fan should own!  And now is a good time as we wait on the 25th installment of the franchise in No Time To Die.

We also discussed a book he wrote on The Twilight Zone and Steve shares a few things about Rod Serling that I knew nothing about!

Why Stay With A Cheater?

On this show, we'll discuss why some people give cheaters 2nd and 3rd chances.

Duration: 63 minutes.

Ok, so you have a significant other, right?  And you suspect that something is going on and that they're possibly cheating on you.  So, you put on your CSI hat and do your investigation for weeks and you find out that it's true.  That person did cheat on you.  So, you call up the other person to let them know that your mate comes home to you every night and that they're just "something to do".  Then you curse your mate out and put them in the dog house for a while.  Two weeks later, you all are lovey-dovey again.

We all know multiple people who have been through that scenario.  They work like a Walmart employee on Black Friday just to try and find out if their mate is cheating only to stay with them anyway. The question is: why?

That's what we're discussing on this episode of the Talk 2 Q Radio Show.  "No experts.  Just opinions."

Will marriage soon be a thing of the past?

Duration: 3 minutes.

People don't take dating seriously any more and because of that relationships are becoming extinct. It is no longer the informal interview process to determine if someone is a long-term option or not. It's just something to do. Some people do it for free food. Some people do it for easy sex.

The art of courting has gone the way of the dinosaur. What can we do to get it back? How can we refocus society on taking their relationships seriously these days?

Thanks To The Podcaster's Vision!

I am thankful for the opportunity to appear on the Voices of Courage 2020 Rise Podcast to provide a Podcaster's Vision to why I do what I do!

Listen to the episode here.

Duration: 12 minutes.

The gracious host of the show, Brandy Singleton, gave me an opportunity to do something that I don't normally do...  and that's to talk about myself and the Talk 2 Q Radio Show.

I talked about what inspired me to start a podcast, the ups and downs of being a podcaster, and my most memorable moment in podcasting.

My show is unique.  It's not the typical podcast you may come across on the regular.  T2Q is a talk radio show at heart.  People are able to interact with me and give me their two cents on a topic.  Despite my name being in the title of the show, it has never really been about me and what I think.

So, for Brandy to give me the opportunity to share my experiences and be in the spotlight for a change was a flattering experience and I thank her for it!

Let me know what you think of the episode in the comments below or shoot me an e-mail over to Talk2QNow@gmail.com.

Thanks.

Should Guys Ask Women For Money?

On this show, our main topic will revolve around guys asking women for money.  Is that okay in your eyes?  Is it a case-by-case basis type of thing for you?  What's your take?

Listen on your favorite podcasting platform here.

Duration: 75 minutes.

The dating game has a ton of obstacles.  Dealing with someone who may cheat is hard enough.  But what about dealing with someone who is financially needy?  And by someone, I mean dudes.  Should guys... ask women... for money.

We'll also discuss why there now appears to be so many women over 30 years old who have never been married as opposed to 25 years ago.  Do they choose not to be married or are they less desirable than they once were?

What happens when you ask a Jackson State grad and an Alcorn State grad who has the best school?

Duration: 51 minutes.

You can find an HBCU in Atlanta or you can find an HBCU in California.  But there's something about the South that seems to appeal to people of color.

I'm joined by Curtis Burroughs (JSU) and Charles Helom (Alcorn) to discuss the Southwestern Athletic Conference, better known as the SWAC by those familiar with HBCU schools.

We discuss what made attending a SWAC school different than the larger, public four year colleges like the University of Mississippi or LSU.  We chat about dormitory life, homecoming week, Greek life, the rivalries between the schools (sports and band) and more!

From Prison Suit to Power Suit

She went from prison suit to power suit.

Listen on your favorite podcasting platform here.

Duration: 38 minutes.

The Shawshank Redemption has nothing on this story.  Neither does Bob Marley's Redemption Song.  My guest joins me to summarize her exaggerated business strategy that led her to a federal prison sentence for over two years.

Rojonah Harris is the epitome of making the most of a second chance. She had her whole life ahead of her and it all came to a screeching halt one faithful day. Before she knew it, she was being taken away from her children and found herself with a new family, that wasn't of her choosing, at a correctional facility.

Instead of falling apart, like most inmates do, Rojonah came out better than she was when she went in. This is truly an example of how prison reform should be in America.  Her story is a true tale of second chances and motivation!

I hope that you enjoy my Q-on-1 discussion with her!  Who is worthy of redemption?  Anyone who seeks it!

Buck Addresses The Nation

Normally, I'm the one getting on my soap box and having a rant about a topic.

Duration: 4 minutes.

Not this time!  Buck gives his two cents on what people in this country need to do now that the election is over.

This brief, but potent political tirade focuses on self-reflection and healing ourselves in this nation we call the United States of America.  Make no mistake about it.  There's nothing "United" about this country these days.  White people appear to be sick of black people complaining and black people appear to be sick of having reasons to complain.  And that's enough drama without mixing in the LGBTQ community, Muslims, Hispanics, and others who are stressed to the max right now.

However, we can begin to turn things around and make it better if we all give Buck four minutes to make his point.

When two people who aren't married decide to have sex, who is responsible for birth control?

Duration: 3 minutes.

It sounds like a tough question, doesn't it?  Well, it's not.  Unwanted pregnancies happen quite often these days and people want to throw around the blame on who should have been responsible to prevent it.  The fact that women and men have argued over this for decades is beyond me.

I finally take the time to break down and answer this very important question.  The answer is quite simple and if you hear me out then you'll understand why.  Maybe afterwards, you'll see how easily you can avoid being a member of the single dads or single moms club.

It's a great discussion with a man who had a plan and executed it.  Enjoy my Q-on-1 discussion with Richard and please feel free to share this as to inspire others.

Movie summary: It's winter in Chicago and Billy Cochran (Dylan LaRay) can't stop alienating the people around him. His mother Gina (Lynn Lowry) is in and out of the hospital and her mind is breaking down, caught between her glory days as a Southern belle and her current state of decay.

One night, Billy gets an unexpected visitor: a rat that springs out of his bathroom and bites him. At first, everything seems okay. Billy comes home, drowsy from the tetanus shot, and bonds with Gina's lovely new caregiver Myra (Jess Paul). Then the rat fur appears. It grows out of Billy's skin, then goes away like it was never there. The more Billy looks in the mirror and scratches, the more he's forced to face the unthinkable: he might be turning into a rat.

Billy is plunged into a waking nightmare where he slowly discovers the truth about himself as he unleashes the ferocious depths of the human and rodent soul.

Q-on-1 w/Model, Valesia Rose

She took a "pretty feet" comment and turned it into a modeling business.

Listen on your favorite podcasting platform here.

Duration: 10 minutes.

The ATL is filled with beautful women, but there's only one Valesia Rose!  She's a down-to-earth young lady who decided to move her modeling from social media to Only Fans.

Her and I talk about how she fell in love with the camera and what she likes to do outside of modeling.  I ask her about Only Fans and what people can expect when they go to the site.

And guess what, fellas?  She's single!  She may kill me for saying that, but I already know that you guys want to know important information like that.

Enjoy my Q-on-1 discussion with Miss Valesia Rose and be sure to visit her site!

Check her out at www.OnlyFans.com/ValesiaRose and see why she's the real deal.

Also, take advantage of her special offer for a discounted rate if you subscribe to the Talk 2 Q Radio Show podcast.  Details are in the interview.
