#TBT #T2Q: Mama Joyce of RHOA

This show was off the chain as I was joined by one of the reality stars of the "Real Housewives of Atlanta," Mama Joyce (Jones)!

Duration: 39 minutes.

(Show #379 originally aired on August 10, 2014.)

She's the mother of former Xscape singer/songwriter, Kandi Burruss and she has been a huge part of the RHOA show.

But is Mama Joyce simply misunderstood? We all know of people who have protective moms. Some of us even had moms who seemed to put their noses where others thought it didn't belong. Is she just a typical mom who wants what's best for her daughter? I dive into the following questions with her:

  • Just what is it about Todd Tucker (Kandi's fiancee') that truly bothers her?
  • Is it more difficult to maintain a relationship with her daughter with millions of people watching?
  • At what point should a parent step back and let their children make a mistake?
These things and more as Mama Joyce kicked down the doors of the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

Also, for the 1st time in T2Q history, I had a co-host! Crystal Hickerson from The Crystal Show joined me to tag-team Mama Joyce! :)

Q-on-1 w/Thomasine Haynes, CEO of Planted Love

I'm excited to chat with Planted Love CEO, Thomasine Haynes, about what she has to offer the women in the Jackson Metro area.

Duration: 45 minutes.

Listen here.

Planted Love is a company designed to provide education opportunities for women who may suffer from uterine fibroid, endometriosis, PCOS, and other reproductive diseases.

I will ask her about the following:

- How did she get started in this cause?
- What are some of the services she offers to your clients as a form of health maintenance?
- How much does a woman's diet play a role in preventing these reproductive diseases?

Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths that can appear in a woman's body during child-bearing years.  They are the leading cause of hysterectomies and black women are 2x more likely to have one because of it.

I discuss these things and more as I go Q-on-1 with Thomasine Haynes of Planted Love!

Thomasine has an innate passion for health & wellness and helping others to achieve their optimal health potential. She believes that health starts first in the mind, second in the foods that you consume, and third being physically active.

At the age of 26, she was officially diagnosed with Uterine Fibroids. After several medical treatments, risky medications, surgeries, and a blood transfusion, she was told by her physician hysterectomy was the only option to enhancing her quality of life.

However, in 2018, she set out on a mission to healing herself mind, body, and soul. She took it upon herself to research and attain the information necessary to assist women and generations to come in healing themselves naturally. After seeing a tremendous change in her overall mental, physical, and reproductive health by completely changing her lifestyle, her desire to help other women feel the same is what motivates her.

Thomasine is a certified Yoni Steam Practitioner, Womb Health Educator, Fibroid Elimination Health Coach and an advocate for Women’s Reproductive Health. She received her training and certification from Love My Womb Academy, a Nationally Accredited and Board-Certified Yoni (Vaginal) steaming Academy and Womb Health & Wellness Educational Program. She services as the Mississippi Ambassador for The Fibroid Foundation, which is the top leading global fibroid and menstrual health advocacy organization. Also, recently she’s partnered with Electric pHood with Founders, Dr. Amun and Dr. Amsu, as an affiliate with their Hope beyond Fibroids Elimination program.

Thomasine currently works full time in Health Care Management as an Operations Supervisor for a Managed Health Care Plan. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and meditation, spending time with her 2 beautiful children, family, & friends, traveling, serving the community, and learning more about natural holistic healing. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 46:5 “God is within her, she will not fall”.

Relationship Reparations

We've all dated and been through bad relationships.

Duration: 75 minutes.

Listen here!

We put in the time, effort and money into someone who just wasn't for us for whatever reason. In the end, we usually have nothing to show for it. If there were only a such thing known as relationship reparations.

Oh, well. Since you can't get those then I guess you'll have to find other ways to get satisfaction after a break up. On tonight's show, we'll discuss all things relationship as I probe your mind with some of the following questions:

  • Do you get more satisfaction by improving your life after the break up or by your ex's life getting worse?
  • Do some people treat child support as a form of reparation?
  • How do you get over bad break ups?
We'll kick around those topics and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show! "No experts. Just opinions."

T2Q Show Relaunch Intro

It's so good to be back on the airwaves!

I want to welcome all of you to the relaunching of the Talk 2 Q Radio Show. This brief podcast will give you some insight into the show if you're new to it and it will refresh the memories of the loyal listeners of days past.

I decided to restart the show because the fire still burns for me. There's so much to talk about these days and some things just need to be said. I kind of wish that I could have gotten in on the Gayle King or Super Bowl Halftime Butt-Shaking discussions from a week ago. But, all of us who watch the news daily know that there's something crazy happening on a daily basis worth discussing. So, the show will never be at a lost for topics.

The show will not air on a weekly basis like I did once before. It will air on an as-needed basis which simply means that if there's something I really want to discuss then I'll schedule a show for it.

Enjoy this introduction and I'll see you on 2/20/20 at 8 PM Central Time for the real thing!

Peace out!
