Dating with Children

Call-in #: (347) 202-0215 or listen from the interactive chat room here.

Move over, Al Bundy! Over the past 25 years, the number of unwed parents has increased. Single parents need love, too, but how do you approach dating? The Ladies of Cocktails & Conversation, Erika and Robin, rejoin T2Q to discuss!

What are the rules for single parents to date? Is there a certain period before the kids are introduced? Can they only call at a certain time of the evening?

How do you handle discipline if the relationship gets serious? Does your significant other get full authority to lay down the law on your kids when necessary?

And what would you do if your kids threw a party while you were away and it got out of hand?

All of these things and more on the Talk 2 Q Radio Show!

Racist Churches & Chick-Fil-A vs. LGBT

Call (347) 202-0215 to listen/join the show or stream live here from the interactive chat room!

Flash mobs are organized activities that can be bad or good. However, a couple of weeks ago, a Jacksonville, FL Walmart caught the bad as 300 people trashed their store. How do we stop, prevent and punish those who participate?

Who would have ever guessed that the "barnyard pimp" (a rooster) would be a topic on T2Q? Chick-Fil-A's president said that marriage is defined as a man and a woman. Well, there are some people in the gay community who are upset over the notion. They're calling for boycotts of the restaurant. What's your take on this controversy?

A black couple who attend a white church in Crystal Springs, MS were told that they could not get married in their predominantly white Baptist church. What!!???

How do you go about handling gun control? After the shootings in Aurora, CO, is it needed? This tragedy has turned into a political platform and there needs to be a solution to try and prevent incidents like this. What should the punishment be for the perpetrator?

Skin Wars: Light vs. Dark

No Flash device? Stream here.

Light skin. Dark skin. It's been a battle for a long time. An unnecessary battle. What's the big deal? Why do people of the same race treat one shade of skin different than the other? Are light-skinned women conceited? Are dark-skinned women angry? Are light-skinned guys weak? Are dark-skinned guys criminal? We'll dismiss the stereotypes and make an effort to put an end to the lunacy.

People love referring to "Carlton's" character from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" or Wayne Brady as being the "least black" black people on the planet. What is "not black enough?" What is "acting white?" Why do people of the same race has issues with skin tone?

Ever been minding your own business and run into an ex? How do you respond when you see a blast from the past?

We'll even mix in some politics in this one as the Presidential election grows closer each day.

All of this and a sports topic to be named later on #T2Q!

How to Break Up w/Someone

No Flash device? Click here to stream live.

Breaking up is hard to do... or is it? What's the best way to break up with someone? Does it depends on how long you've been together? The type of relationship you've had with this person? If you're happy or not? What factors into your decision of how to tell someone that it's over?

Should parents choose cohabitation (for the kids' sake) when the relationship isn't working?

The state of Tennessee has implemented a new law that prevents children from holding hands in school. According to the lawmakers in TN, holding hands is the "gateway to sex." Do you agree/disagree? What do you think the school's responsibility should be when it comes to sex education?

PED's & Recruiting

No Flash device? Listen here

Performance enhancing drugs... do you care if they're a part of sports or not? Maybe you care, but only when it comes to certain sports (track & field, baseball, etc.). We'll discuss if there's a general consensus on if people care one way or another about PED's.

Should the way colleges are recruiting high school kids to sign be outlawed? These kids are treated like royalty as the colleges lure them in to take advantage of their physical abilities. They use pretty girls to show them around campus and recognizable alumni. Should kids be allowed to choose without being pursued? What rights should the recruits have when it comes to making a choice? Should they be allowed to leave the school if the coach leaves?

Is NASCAR, Horse Racing, Golf, etc. really a sport? What classifies a sport and which sport requires the most athleticism?

The Network

Call (347) 202-0215 to join or stream live here (chat room available)

We've all heard people say that it's not what you know, but who you know. But, how true is it? Can being a part of a network make a difference in you being innocent or guilty? Getting a job or not? Getting into a school or not?

The "Good Ol' Boy Network" is a term that has been around for decades. It insinuates that a secret society of rich, white guys control who gets into their elite fraternity that involves cushy jobs, Ivy League schools and other perks.

But, The Network is just more than the image of some rich, fat cat adding to his millions by putting you further in debt. What about other networks like the police force (who protect their own like no other) or the military (who treat soldiers different than civilians when it comes to criminal activity)?

The Network comes in all shapes, sizes and colors including "cliques" within the work place and community.

DNA & "The Thirst" w/@CocktailsnConvo

Call (347) 202-0215 or stream the show here (chat room available)
Men, you will never be trapped by a lie again. Well, that is providing that my backroom proposal gets passed...

Mandatory DNA testing on all newborns! Would making these tests on newborns mandatory stop a whole lot of drama that winds up unfolding on episodes of Maury Povich? Fair or foul to implement it?

Also, being "thirsty," in slang terms, is defined as "too eager to get something." A lot of people are "thirsty" when it comes to relationships. What causes it and what are the signs?

Ladies, can being "independent" result in chronic single status?

The ladies from Cocktails & Conversation join T2Q once again to give viewpoints from the female perspective!

@Sean_Malcolm & @KingMagazine NEED @SayNatay #Naté4KING

How could anyone say "no" to this?
I need everyone to RT this page and make a dream come true!

T2Q is always thankful of the support that it receives. It may be in the form of a comment on the page, following me on Twitter, a visit to the chat room to hear the show, a phone call to actually discuss the topic on the air or being a guest.

Because of the love these people show to me, I absolutely feel obligated to show that same love back to them.

We have to support our own! So many of us will go on Facebook and Like Drake or Nike, yet when someone in your own neighborhood is up-and-coming, you won't even give them a "thumbs up" as well.

Drake doesn't know you. Nike won't lower prices for you. I'm not saying that they're not worthy of support, but don't ignore the people who will actually thank you personally for what you do.

Naté has been a guest on my show twice. She has the personality, the drive and definitely the body to grace the cover of any magazine. I'm calling on everyone in the T2Q family to make it happen!  Retweet like you're a stuttering baby bird and make a dream a reality. Check out her video on why she's so determined...
