Some people rush into relationships and get their feelings hurt. Others bail on relationships too quickly and end up missing out on a good thing. Do either apply to you or do you kind of fall in the middle?

To be honest, most of us see ourselves as being balanced, but we're really not. I went from one extreme to the next. I once rushed into relationships simply because I didn't have difficulties being committed. That turned into disappointment more times than not.

Over time things changed. Now that I'm not as trusting of women as I once was, I tend to find reasons to not be in a relationship. I find myself refusing to commit because I'm searching for that "perfect" someone who doesn't exist.

I'll get sleepy while driving on long trips. I'll fall asleep while watching a football game. And sometimes, it shows simply because I'm lethargic that day.

The Brooklyn native is living his dream as he has always had a love for boxing.  The one time prison guard who once taught inmates the "sweet science" is now one of the most sought out referees in the sport.

Fresh off his trip to Germany to officiate the Tyson Fury / Vladimir Klitschko heavyweight championship bout, he will join me to discuss his career.  We'll also discuss things pertaining to his job such as safety and maintaining order in the ring.

Wow. Things have changed so much since the 90's. I remember when you would meet a lady, get her number, actually called her to get to know her, and went out on a date. It doesn't seem that long ago that was the norm.

But like the iPhone 5, things only take a couple of years to be outdated. Today people text, text, and text some more and voice conversations and actual meetings don't always happen quickly (if at all). 

How do we adapt to the ever-changing world of communicating?

Also on the show.  The state of Texas has decided to remove all mentions of slavery from their school text books.  The "Slave Trade" will now be referred to as the "Atlantic Triangular Trade."  Jim Crow and the Ku Klux Klan will no longer appear in Texas school text books.

Where do I start with this one? Ladies first, I guess. I have no idea what happened to the kind, sweet, loving, nurturers that I once knew. A woman could make you feel as if you could jump over the moon and be anything that you wanted to be. It all started with moms who raised their sons to strive for the best. It made boys grow up seeking a woman who inspired them and motivated them.

Fast-forward to 2015 and that rarely exists. Now there are some women who are just jerks. They allow their pride to interfere with happiness and the possibility of being a successful couple.

Guys were once protectors. We didn't just defend our woman. We defended all women. We wouldn't sit back and allow someone's character to be trashed. We would speak out against atrocities against women. It started with fathers who raised their sons to do the right thing (even when no one was looking). It made boys grow up feeling a sense of responsibility towards helping other people. It gave women a sense of security that "this one is going to make everything okay."

Fast-forward to 2015 and that rarely exists. Now guys actually look to victimize women. They allow their ego to interfere with happiness and the possibility of being a successful couple.

Where did we go wrong? When did some women turn into loud-mouth jerks and some men turned into perpetrators instead of protectors?  Why do we refuse to show love for one another just for the sake of not appearing weak in the relationship?

I have nothing against complaining, but there's an art to it. Some people are really good at it while others suck. You can't effectively complain if you're annoying.

In my opinion, complaining only works if you can get the other person to respond to what you're saying. Asking questions that force them to show their incompetence by answering usually does the trick! You have to establish guilt in order to have something done about it. Making them hate you isn't going to amount to anything being done to resolve your issue.

Out of Middle Tennessee State, Mike knew that he had a chance to be in the NFL.  He got drafted in the 2nd round in 1993 and the dream began.

How much does a person's look/attitude play a role in a successful relationship?

Relationships are comprised of so many things.  There's really not one quality that makes for a good relationship more than another.  Attraction is a key component in relationships.  If you're not attracted to the person then there's hardly a chance at a long-term future with that person.  It doesn't mean that they have to be sexy to everyone.  Just sexy to you.

Having said that, how important is "being sexy" to you?  Do you feel as if you should feel sexy most or all of the time or just in certain scenarios?  How often should a potential other do it?  Are you okay with lounging clothes during the week as long as they dress up on the weekend?  Or do you need that constant stimulation?  How much does attitude play a role in it?

If you're a parent who lets your child participate in year-around organized athletics then I need you to listen to this show.  You could be ruining your child's life in more ways than you could ever realize.

We all know that there's a difference between "organic" and "manufactured."  Society has manufactured food products for us and it's documented that it can make us sick.  Mainly because there's very little "natural" about it.  There's a long term effect on some who eat manufactured foods too regularly.

The same concept applies to child athletes: if they aren't organically created then they run the risk of suffering from side effects of being manufactured.  There's a reason why some rich parents can pay for the best equipment and best coaches for their child and that kid still can't beat an inner city kid that's never been professionally coached if they played in a pick-up game of basketball.

The short answer: absolutely! At least most guys who get called "thirsty" think so. :) We've seen so many terms that describes situations get thrown around on social media. "Girl, that one dude inboxed me again. He's so 'thirsty'!"

What does "thirsty" mean in slang terms? "Too eager to get something" according to UrbanDictionary.com. But is the person truly "thirsty" or do you just not want the attention from him? If (insert celebrity guy here) inboxed you, would he also be dismissed for being "too eager" to get with you?

This topic was discussed on July 22nd, but in the middle of the show, something happened. So, we were unable to finish the discussion and I decided to save it for later. Well, later has arrived and it's time to finish what I started! The second part of "Your Mouth Makes You Ugly" will conclude tonight! 

There's nothing more irritating than someone who can't control their mouth. Whether it's a nasty attitude, taking opportunities to hate on someone, or just plain being disrespectful, it makes you just want blow a gasket. Why is it that some people don't realize that their mouth makes them ugly?

The things some people say have consequences yet they don't realize it. Or they realize it and just don't care. An uncontrolled mouth can cost a person their job, their mate, their friends/family, and a hospital bill if they pop off to the "wrong one."

Why do we allow ourselves to get emotional to the point of stupidity and regret? Society also promotes having your tongue throw you in jail with reality TV and YouTube videos of mindless confrontations.

Well, not everyone.  I don't make a big deal out of my birthday.  I live each day as if it's my birthday, so although I'm appreciative of seeing another year, a celebration really isn't all that necessary.  But I don't hate on those who with to "turn up" on theirs.  At least not until it crosses the line from a birthday celebration to narcissism.

A couple of weeks ago, I played a clip of my candid discussion with one of the first guests that I ever had on the show. I call it a discussion because it wasn't much of an interview. It was basically me talking and her doing her usual comedic thing.
