Bling, Tattoos, and Disrespect

Listen Live!

Do people love flashy? Are some of these "peacocks" that are walking around considered "prime choice" when it comes to choosing a mate?

What do you think of tattoos? Art, gangsta, or ridiculous?

Do ladies like being disrespected? Is that the reason Chris Brown and R. Kelly on top of the charts?

  1. Q, I can't lie - I loves me some jewelry! But, tastefully done jewelry is key - I do not dig "overkill" or shit so big that you'd have to get it its own seat on an airplane. I also dig tatts, but again - tastefully done (and that can run the gamut of interpretations, considering people's definition of "taste." lol). The key to ink (for me, anyway) is to not have something sooooo obvious and distracting that it would become the source of discussion every time you walked into any kind of waiting room (*this doesn't apply to tattoo artists - I expect them to have tons of ink!). Men disrespecting women, though? HELL TO THA NO! I have boycotted R. Kelly and Chris Brown because of that shit. I am cool with joking around about shit - but once it turns real and a man puts his hands on a woman or really tries to hurt her with words or actions - nosireebob.

  2. LOL! I guess anything is cool in moderation. A diamond-encrusted hubcap around the neck is overkill. I feel the same about tattoos as well. I'm not a huge fan of visible tatts if they're poster-sized. Nicely done tatts are cool though. As for Kelly, I don't fool with him any more. Can't tolerate someone who abuses kids. And Chris Brown, I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt until his blow up on GMA. I think that dude has a problem.

Some things just need to be said, so say them!
